Quarter 2 Member Draw Winners
Congratulations to our Q2 Member Draw winners; Ray, Caitlyn and Meg who each took home a Random Harvest Gourmet Hamper to share with their friends and family or simply just indulge themselves. Thanks for being part of the MUSAC community.
Our Q3 draw is already underway — all you need is 12 visits this quarter (July, August and September) to automatically be in the running. Keep showing up, keep moving, and you could be our next winner!
Health Club Etiquette
We’ve recently shared updates about Health Club etiquette and the No Towel, No Train policy. As a reminder:
- From Monday 21 July, the No Towel, No Train policy will be strictly enforced. Please ensure you bring and use a towel every time you train.
- Respect the gym floor staff who are just doing their job
- Wipe down equipment after use
- Return weights and equipment to their proper place
- Be considerate of others, especially during peak times
- Wear appropriate active wear when working out
- Wear enclosed shoes when in the Health Club

Pride Zumba Recap
Thanks to everyone who joined our Pride-themed Zumba session on June 24th in celebration of Pride Month.
With 48 attendees, it was fantastic to see such energy, colour, and community spirit on full display.
A big thank you to Anna B and Tania H for leading the class and making the event so inclusive and fun.
Free Gymnastics Trial — July 28 to August 10
Have you ever wanted to try out our gymnastics program? Now’s your chance.
New participants interested in our Recreational, Trickstars, Twisters and Team Gym Beginner programs can join one free trial class during this two-week period.
You’ll get to experience lessons, games, gymnastics circuits, and skill activities—all designed to give you a great taste of what we offer.
Each person can enjoy one free trial class between July 28 and August 10.

Winter Onesie Week
Thank you to everyone who showed up in their cosy winter gear during Winter Onesie Week and congratulations to our winners: Christian, Rui, and Farsha who went home with a voucher for an Australian Sports Camp thanks to the team at ASC or an Oodie to keep them warm in the cold winter months.
It was amazing to see the centre filled with colourful onesies and fun winter outfits
Social Sport Competitions Underway
Semester 2 social sport competitions are now underway, with teams competing in basketball, netball, volleyball, and 6-a-side football.

Swim to Win Competition
Congratulations to Nathaniel, our Period 1 winner of the Swim to Win Competition.
We’re now into Period 2, so keep attending your lessons for more chances to win.
Remember, every swim lesson attended earns an entry into the draw, just get your card stamped by a Learn to Swim supervisor after each class. Even replacement lessons count!
There are still two prize packs up for grabs in Periods 2 (July 14 – August 3) and 3 (August 4 – August 24), each valued at over $250 and including a Speedo backpack, towel, goggles, dive rings, MQU swimming cap, and water bottle.
Stay consistent this winter to boost your swimming skills and be in the running for these great prizes.

Run City2Surf with Team Macquarie University
Are you competing in this year’s City2Surf? Macquarie University is excited to partner with the Foundation for Alcohol Research and Education (FARE) (https://fare.org.au/) for the 2025 event.
FARE is a not-for-profit organisation working towards an Australia free from alcohol harms, promoting positive messaging and research to support anyone considering reducing or stopping their alcohol consumption
If you’re running City2Surf, you can join the MQU and FARE team for free. Simply click here to sign up. Everyone who joins will go into the draw to win a $250 True Protein Gift Pack.
Once registered, you’ll be added to the team and receive further information closer to the event.
