On Thursday 2nd December 2021, Macquarie University Sport and Aquatic Centre (MUSAC) announced the availability of new membership options for current members. Our Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) and general information about these options are detailed below.
Why the change?
Most gyms offer monthly memberships with a lot of inclusions you may not use, and it can sometimes feel like you’re throwing money away.
We now offer additional membership options that allow you to choose what you pay for, whether it's pool access, the Health Club, a vast range of individual group fitness classes or our court facilities - you can select the best option for you!

What’s included in each membership?
MUSAC will offer three different membership categories – Gold, Aquatic and Fitness.
Each membership type has its own unique inclusions indicated in the table below:

Current members do not have to do anything.
You will be automatically transitioned into Gold and will continue to receive the same membership inclusions at your current price.

Requests will come into effect for the following direct debit cycle.

Can I change/upgrade my membership at any time?
There is no limitation(s) to making modifications to your membership.

Why are there now wristbands and what do they mean?
Wristbands will replace membership cards in 2022 and will help identify your membership type and centre access.
- Gold members will receive a black wristband.
- Aquatic members will receive a blue wristband
- Fitness members will receive a red wristband.
All current and new members will receive a wristband as a part of their 2022 membership.
Wristbands will be distributed over the opening quarter of 2022 with members directly contacted via their nominated email address, advising them when they can redeem their wristband.
Current members can continue to use their membership cards until they have received their new wristband.
When and how will I get my wristband?

Is there a cost associated with wristbands?
Current members and new members will receive their first wristband at no cost.
All replacement wristbands will incur a $10 fee, payable and available for collection at the Customer Service desk at the front of the centre.
Is Court Hire included?
Gold members will continue to receive 1-hour Court hire and 2 hours Squash Court hire per day inclusive with their membership (subject to courts availability).
After that time, the charge will default to member rate detailed within our Court Hire Policy, plus casual Court Entry fees.
Fitness and Aquatic members will be required to pay non-member rate for court hire and the casual court entry fee for all people(s) participating in their booked session. Non-Member court hire fees detailed under Venue Hire rates and casual Court Entry fees are detailed here.
Is parking still included in my membership?
All members are still entitled to two-hours free on the basis that their vehicle(s) are registered and they have downloaded the CellOPark app.
Please ensure you register your vehicle(s) by completing the parking registration form and download the CellOPark app or use one of the parking machines located inside the main foyer of the Sport and Aquatic Centre.
Members are encouraged to park in the new N3 car park, easily accessible to the north of the centre.
