While we are excited to re-open, we must clarify some Conditions of Entry for members and guests to observe upon returning to the centre. The Conditions of Entry have been developed in accordance with the NSW Government Roadmap and Public Health Order to provide a safe working, exercising, and training environment for our community. These include, but are not limited to:

  • Every person entering the facility will be required to be fully vaccinated in line with the Public Health Order. For the avoidance of doubt, entry will be refused if you cannot demonstrate full vaccination status. Please be mindful of our staff whose job it is to help us comply with the Public Health Order.
  • All members and visitors MUST also scan in via the Service NSW QR Code prior to entering MUSAC. In the event you do not have the technology to scan the QR code, you will be required to sign-in manually via the visitor register available at the front desk of the centre.
  • The one person per 4m² rule will be applicable to all people within the facility and 2m² in our outdoor areas. If you have any queries about access and availability, please call ahead of your planned visit.
  • When not exercising, facemasks are required to be worn.

The safety of our members has and always will be our number one priority. MUSAC is a COVIDSafe environment allowing you to train and play with confidence.

We will connect with you all in the coming days via email to help you understand what the re-opening means for you.

MUSAC Update - response to NSW Government outdoor pools announcement - 24/09/2021

The NSW Premier confirmed that outdoor public swimming pools can choose to re-open across NSW from Monday 27th September 2021.

While this is welcomed news there are still a couple of things we need to work through before MUSAC re-opens its doors to members, patrons, and the public.

The safety of our members and patrons has and always will be our number one priority.

During the closure period we have been working on several projects to ensure when MUSAC does re-open its doors, it can do so with all the necessary NSW Health advice available. This means being able to open with all our programs and offerings including the Health Club, Learn to Swim, Squads, Gymnastics, and other programs.

We understand the excitement around the prospect of re-opening, it’s an excitement we share with you. We are committed to ensuring you can pick back up where you left off as seamlessly as possible and look forward to providing you more specific information soon.

If you have an urgent matter and you need to contact centre staff, please email macsport@mq.edu.au

We again thank you for your continued support and understanding and look forward to seeing you again soon.
