Hot Water System Update and Level 1 Male Changeroom Maintenance Notice - 13/04/2022


Dear Members and Patrons,

Hot Water System Update
The problem affecting the gas supply to MUSAC has now been rectified, and our water heating systems have returned to full operations.

Hot water has returned to the showers and both pools have returned to their optimal temperature. We thank everyone for their understanding as we navigated this unexpected interruption.

Level 1 Male Changeroom Maintenance Notice
Improvement works will take place in the Level 1 Male Changeroom to rectify damage caused by the recent heavy rain.

Works include:

  • Replacement of water damaged ceiling
  • Painting of the ceiling
  • Replacement of all shower heads

For these works to be completed, the Level 1 Male Changeroom will be closed from Tuesday 19th April, and scheduled to re-open Tuesday 3rd May. During these times we ask that you please make use of the Level 2 Male Changeroom.

Dear Members and Patrons,

Due to circumstances beyond our control, the gas supply to MUSAC has been interrupted this afternoon, affecting our water heating systems.

The University is working to resolve this issue and reinstate gas supply within the next 24-48 hours.

What does it mean for me?
  • Hot water for showers may be affected
  • Pool water temperature may drop in both the indoor and outdoor pools
All other services and programs remain unaffected.
