Update 30/04/2022 - 6:00AM

We are happy to advise that last nights civil works went smoothly and that the pools have passed their minimum temperature threshold.

Today's Learn to Swim classes will proceed as expected and scheduled.

We thank all parents for their understanding and look forward to seeing members later today.

We’re writing to inform you that we have been notified that the gas pipes that heat the Indoor Pool will be shut off between 10pm and 2am, Friday 29th and Saturday 30th April as a part of the civil works taking place at the construction site opposite the Sport and Aquatic Centre.

What does this mean for you?

While we anticipate that there shouldn’t be any problems, we wanted to notify parents of children enrolled in our Learn to Swim programs on Saturday 30th April that the temperature of the pools may be lower than usual between 8am – 10am.

The temperature is usually set at 31°C.

If the temperature is below 27°C, then scheduled classes will NOT go ahead. However, if the temperature remains at or above 27°C then classes WILL proceed as scheduled.

We will provide an update tomorrow morning before 7am to confirm (on this page) if the temperature is within acceptable limits. Alternatively, call the centre for an update on (02) 9850 7636.

Should you wish to defer your lesson, you can by emailing macsport@mq.edu.au with your child’s details. You will not be charged for this, and no lessons deducted from your allocated make up lessons.

We thank everyone for their understanding and look forward to updating you again tomorrow morning.
