All of our Macquarie University Sport and Aquatic Centre (MUSAC) facilities and programs are operating as normal, in line with COVIDSafe guidelines and sector advice.

We've undertaken a number of measures to ensure our facilities are COVIDSafe, including registering a plan with the NSW Government. Download our COVID-19 Safety Plan for Gyms and Indoor Recreation, and Swimming Pools.

Please be aware that by attending Macquarie University Sport and Aquatic Centre, you agree to adhere to and comply with the COVIDSafe Conditions of Entry. Click here to view.

You must:

  • scan in with the Service NSW QR code and produce your membership card upon entry to enable the recording of accurate attendance records
  • produce your membership card upon entry and scan on exit to enable the recording of accurate attendance records
  • bring a towel — entry will be refused if you do not have one
  • thoroughly wipe down all equipment before and after use, using the sanitising wipes provided
  • bring your own mat when attending group exercise classes
  • be respectful to staff whose job it is to enforce COVIDSafe procedures.

Please note:

  • Spotting is currently prohibited in the Health Club.
  • Lockers are not in use for the time being so please bring only the essentials, including a towel and water bottler
  • Water is available via our vending machines only — do not share water with anyone.
  • Changing rooms remain open, however, we ask that you still try and limit your time in the centre and follow the four square metre regulation within the change room areas.
  • No refunds will be granted for any booking made.
  • No credits will be available for any booking made.

Members are asked to take personal responsibility for social distancing by:

  • adhering to dedicated floor markings
  • avoiding congregating prior to the start of group exercise classes and group bookings
  • respecting capacity rules
  • only using the equipment that is available.

Safety measures

We have implemented the following safety measures:

  • staff are trained hygiene marshals and uphold all COVIDSafe procedures
  • MUSAC staff and professional cleaners regularly and thoroughly disinfect all equipment
  • clear centre signage demonstrating physical distancing measures and hygiene practices
  • hygiene stations placed nearby high-touch areas offering hand sanitiser, disinfectant and sanitising wipes
  • closed alternate sinks and urinals in compliance with COVIDSafe physical distancing practices
  • repositioned and decommissioned equipment to ensure a 1.5-metre distance can be maintained.
