With seven hectares of high quality specialist playing areas, our sport fields can be configured to a variety of uses.
Located on the corner of Talavera Road and Culloden Road in North Ryde, and fitted with over 250 parking spots, the Macquarie University Sport Fields provide a number of facilities including:
- lighting on each field
- dedicated canteen and BBQ area
- four change rooms
- optional catering services.
Sport field booking activities include:
- Australian rules football
- rugby union
- rugby league
- football (soccer)
- hockey
- touch football
- ultimate frisbee
- corporate events
- team-building activities.

Wet weather information
We care about the condition of our fields and want to ensure we're providing the best quality facilities for your event. Our staff work daily to maintain the quality of our sport fields to bring you the green fields you've come to know and love.
A key part of this maintenance is determining whether the fields are suitable to host an event when wet weather ensues.
- Information about University Oval, the Northern Oval, Ross Gwilliam Oval and Campbell Field are updated daily so you're aware of their current status.
- If you have a registered booking, the designated representative for your booking will be contacted by Macquarie University Sport staff to notify them of the field status.
- Field closure decisions are made 2pm each week day for the current day and 2pm on Fridays for the Friday and weekend.

Please note, that where a field has been categorised as open by Macquarie University Sport, it is still the responsibility of the field user to assess the playing surface for safety and use the fields at their own risk.

Venue access can be easily restricted via a single lane bridge across the M2 motorway to create a quiet, private and secure sporting environment for your event.
Paid parking for sport field users is available within the sport fields precinct.
