Quarter 1 2025 Members Draw

It’s a new quarter, which means another chance to win in our members' draw!

Simply visit the centre 12 times between January and March, and you’ll automatically go into the running.

A big congratulations to our Q4 winners, Douglas, Mikaela, and Natalie, who each took home a Christmas hamper filled with a range of Christmas goodies including some Maggie Beer produce to share with friends and family over the festive season.

Start logging those visits today—it could be your turn to win!


Christmas Colouring-In Competition Winners

This festive season our Aquatics team hosted a Christmas colouring-in competition, inviting participants of all ages to showcase their creativity and holiday spirit. The response was fantastic, with so many amazing and colorful entries brightening up our centre.

We’re thrilled to announce the winners:

  • Pheonix (12+)

Reduced Fitness Timetable Until End of January

Please note that our Group Fitness timetable will be operating on a reduced schedule until the end of January. Be sure to check the updated timetable online to plan your sessions.

Public Holiday Closure

Due to the National Public Holiday on Monday 27 January 2025, Macquarie University Sport and Aquatic Centre (MUSAC) will be closed. No classes or programs will run on this day.

MUSAC will reopen Tuesday 28 January at 5:30am with regularly scheduled classes and programs returning.

We look forward to welcoming all members, patrons, and guests back to MUSAC on Tuesday 28 January.


Reformer Pilates is Coming in 2025!

We’re excited to launch Reformer Pilates in the first quarter of 2025!

The Courtyard Studio will transform into a dedicated Reformer Pilates space with 15 beds, offering 45-minute classes suitable for all fitness levels.

We look forward to sharing more details about this exciting addition to our class schedule and will communicate more information in the near future.


Children's Programs Return Date

Our Gymnastics and Learn to Swim programs resume on Monday 20 January and we can’t waitto welcome everyone back for another fantastic year!

Just a reminder that replacement sessions expire 30 days after the missed class. We encourage you to book in early to make the most of your available sessions.

MUSAC Swimming Carnival Schedule – February and March 2025

MUSAC will host a series of school swimming carnivals in February and March 2025.

We will notify members of the full swimming carnival schedule via email to help you plan your visits.

Parking System Change Reminder

As of 25 December 2024, Macquarie University's parking system transitioned from CellOPark to OPark.

If you previously used CellOPark, your account details will automatically transfer to OPark when using the same phone number when registering.

The parking meters inside the centre used for the 2-hours free parking remain unchanged.

Martial Arts Program Update

On 6 January 2025, our Martial Arts program transitioned to a new and simplified enrolment structure. MUSAC now offers one enrolment for Boxing, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and Muay Thai Kickboxing.

Student Accommodation Pool Party

On the evening of Friday, 14 February, the 50m pool will be used for a student accommodation start-of-year pool party. We encourage members to check pool availability online to plan their visit.

Social Sport Competition Registration Opens Soon

Our Summer Mini Competitions kick off on Monday, 20 January. We hope you're ready for an action filled 5-weeks.

If you missed out don’t worry, there’s still plenty of action ahead. Registrations for Semester 1 Social Sports Competitions open on Monday, 27 January 2025.

Get involved in Netball, Basketball, Volleyball or 6-a-side Soccer and make the most of the fun and friendly competition. Whether you’re joining as an individual or with a team, Semester 1 promises to be an exciting season!

Kickstart Week

Kickstart Week signals the start of the academic calendar each year at Macquarie University.

In 2025 Kickstart Week will take place from Monday, 17 February – Friday 21 February 2025, where thousands of new students will be welcomed to the Campus, and MUSAC will be buzzing with activity

This increased activity does mean we expect the volume of enquiries to greatly increase, and we ask that you please be patient with us during this time. We encourage those who may already have enquiries to reach out to us ahead of this time so we can assist you before campus activity grows.
