2022 - 2023 Holiday Operating Hours
As the 2022 - 2023 Holiday season approaches there will be some variations to our operating hours. View the table below to see the variations to our operating hours and important Children's Programs and Holiday Programs dates.
A reduced Group Fitness timetable will be made available in December and will be updated on the Group Fitness page.

Children’s Programs and Holiday Program Dates
Our Gymnastics, Learn to Swim, and Squad Programs will all run Holiday Programs from Tuesday 3 January 2023. The below table indicates the key Children’s Program dates fast approaching:

Parents are kindly reminded that the Programs Make Up Policy applies and that any make up lessons are valid per calendar year, and forfeited once a cancellation is processed, or at the beginning of a new calendar year.
Bookings will be made available for Children’s Holiday Programs from Monday 21st November 2022.
MUSAC Closing Procedure
Members and patrons are kindly reminded that the advertised operational times of the centre are to be adhered to.
30-minutes prior to the advertised closure time, MUSAC staff will commence the MUSAC closing procedure, which means the following for members and patrons in the following locations:

| Entry/Exit from the Centre | No new entry to the centre will be granted 30-minutes prior to the advertised closure time. All patrons are requested to exit the centre by the advertised closure time. |
| Pools | The pools will close 15-minutes prior to the centre closure and patrons will be asked to exit the pools at this time. |
| Health Club/Gym | All patrons currently within the Health Club will be given until just prior to the closing time to complete their current workout, and must exit the centre immediately. |
We ask that patrons please respect the staff who are upholding these processes to help deliver a safe centre for you.

Kids Night In, Adults Night Out
Due to popular demand, we will be running another Macquarie University Gymnastics 'Kids Night In, Adults’ Night Out' event.
The event is to encourage community engagement for all families. This event gives adults the opportunity to drop off their kids and have a night of fun for themselves.
- Date: Friday, 2nd December
- Location: Gymnastics foyer, Gymnastics viewing Area and Gymnastics Hall
- Time: 6:00pm – 9:00pm
- Participants: 4 years + (members and non-members), 50 kids max
- Audience: N/A
- Ratio: 1 coach per 20 kids (1:20)
- Cost: $45 (includes gymnastics play, a movie, pizza, popcorn, and juice)
Adults and children to enter and exit via the L1 Entry and Exit Point on Gymnasium Road. Once in the Gymnastics Hall, they will enjoy gymnastics play, a movie, pizza, drinks and snacks.

Pool Lane Availability
As we approach Summer and the warmer weather continues to descend upon us, there will be increased usage of our pools.
Please ensure you check our pool availability schedule on our website for the most up-to-date information about pool lane availability.
New Pool Accessibility Hoist
Macquarie University Sport and Aquatic Centre are happy to share that a new mobile Pool Access Hoist is now available.
The Pool Access hoist can safely support up to 200kg and complies with Disability Discrimination Act (Access to Premises – Buildings) under the Building Code of Australia.
Both a wheelchair and floating sling options are available for use on the 25m Indoor Pool and 50m Outdoor Pool.
If you wish to use the Pool Accessibility Lift, please email your request to macsport@mq.edu.au with your preferred date, time and any special requirements.

Health Club Smell
Members and patrons may have noticed an unpleasant smell coming from the Health Club.
MUSAC acknowledges that this isn't ideal and we have taken strides to resolve the problem.
We’ve had contractors on site investigating the problem and they are working through some solutions to rectify the situation.
The good news is that it seems to be only intermittent and not every day.
We thank you for your patience during this time.
Membership Competition Winners
Congratulations to our Quarter 3 Membership Competition winners, who were randomly drawn from a pool of members who had attended MUSAC 12 times or more between July 1 – September 30, 2022. Our winners were:
- Linda Galbraith - Gold member - $500 Endota Spa voucher
- Jason Abbott - Fitness members - $250 Lachlan’s Restaurant voucher and Gym Towel
- Fiona Madden - Aquatic members - $50 UBar voucher and Sports Towel
We are happy to remind members that we are running another competition across Quarter 4 2022.
To qualify simply attend 12 times or more between October 1 – December 16, 2022, and you will automatically go into the draw to win one of three Christmas prizes, based on your membership type:
- Gold members - Classic Celebration Christmas Hamper - valued at $499
- Fitness members - Pure Gold Luxury Foodies Hamper - valued at $299
- Aquatic members - Ultimate Foodies with Shiraz Hamper - valued at $209
Please ensure you have scanned through the centre access gates so all your attendances are captured. Do this a minimum of 12 times and you’ll be automatically entered into the draw, with the lucky winners notified Monday 19 December 2022. The more times you visit, the more chances you have to win!
